QUESTION:

[ Home Theater ] Open Question : Windows Media Center and Set Top box Connections.?


I am looking into adding a Windows Media Center PC that I would like to use as a DVR. I have a new PC with Windows Vista Premium so WMC is included. I have Verizon FiOS as my Internet and TV provider. The problem is that my TV signal and my Internet connection are in two different parts of the house. I would like to keep my PC in the office and my set top box in the living room. I know I need to somehow connect the set top box to the WMC PC and then to the TV / AV receiver but I can’t figure out how that will work. Moving either the Internet connection or the Set top box would be a nightmare due to cabling. Can this be done with an extender? A diagram would help.
