[ Computer Networking ] Open Question : Cant connect to a wireless connection anymore?
Straight to the point…About 3 days ago I was could connect to my wireless internet which is about 2-3 feet away from my laptop. Yesterday I took disconnected my desktop and stored it in the garage because I don’t use the desktop anymore because my laptop is faster and newer.I have a Linksys wrt54gs and the easy link advisor was installed in the desktop.Since I dont use the desktop anymore I installed it on the laptop.I found 2 CD’s one says Wireless - N and the other says Wireless - G.I installed the wireless N and everything and secured it with WPA…When I went into Wireless Connections it found my connection with 100% signal but when it connects it says acquiring network address and stays there forever…
Sooo…I unsecured my connection to no protection at all and still the same thing. Before I could connect wirelessly no problem at all when it was on the desktop. The only thing I think i did wrong was that on the router itself it says Wireless G with speed booster and I install Wireless N.
I can only connect with the cable and my PS3 connects fine wirelessly
