Automatic switching between bluetooth handsfree and handset use?


Are there any handsfree kits on the US market which will automatically switch from handsfree to handset use when stepping far enough away from the car?

I am considering buying a bluetooth handsfree set for my fiance’s car.

He has a Samsung SLM cell phone which he keeps in his pocket at all times.

He’s forgetful and doesn’t remember to switch out of bluetooth mode when he’s not driving.

He hates headsets which go in the ear.
