I am doing a lab involving diels alder reactions:
I took 1.393g of maleic acid and added 15 mL of ethyl acetate into a flask. Then I added 1 ml of cyclopentadiene to the reaction mixture. Then I heated the mixture and then allowed it to cool. I then collected the recrystillized product by vacuum filtration.
I then did the same exact thing but I did it with 1.393g of fumaric acid. Also resulting in crystals after vacuum filtration.
Would either of the two compounds be soluble in 10% NAHCO3?
Would there be any evidence of CO2 evolution with the bicarbonate solution?
Would the compounds be solube in acetone, chloroform, or water?
What would be your choice of solvent to use in NMR analysis of these Diels-Alder adducts?

ok theres this girl who’s austistic in my class and she gets treated better than us students. now hear me out i no shes special and all but instead of her doing her work the teachers do it for her! i have seen it happen. and in gym my gym teacher doesnt make her run the laps! its not like she has any physical problems. our gym teacher never lets us sit out and if she doesnt want to play in gym she gets to sit out. Some students and me have tlked to our gym teacher about it and tld him about how we feel. he just replied “get over it” in a very rude tone. We then turned to out guidence conseler she said for us to talk to the gym teacher again. This has been going on for 6 years and nothing has been done, she has been able to do none of her work and gets honor role, she swears and gets away w/ it.
I’m sorry this is so long im tired just typing it lol
but any way i just want to see if this shld happen, trust me i no shes special and things are hard for her.
